Hot Take: Saltwater Supper
Our Hot Take on how to throw a Saltwater Supper. National Dinner Party Day felt like the perfect excuse to lean into all things coastal. For Saltwater Supper, we blended fisherman-core details, vintage energy, and a little California cool—proving you don’t need an ocean view to hauste like you have one.
The Vibe
Think fisherman-core, but make it dinner party chic. We mixed nautical stripes, heavy knits, rain boots, and fresh white linens with a tablescape built for grazing: oysters, caviar, crusty bread, whipped butter, and bright citrusy salads. Saltwater Supper is all about unfussy elegance—layering textures, keeping the menu fresh and briny, and ending the evening with a seaside sunset.
The Food
The Saltwater Supper menu was all about light, briny, graze-friendly dishes with pops of lemon, herbs, and sea salt. We started with oysters (obviously), marinated olives, and shells adorned with perfectly whipped butter, followed by coastal-inspired mains like a bright asparagus salad and bowls of crusty bread for soaking it all up. Caviar bumps kept the energy playful, while chilled lemon possets made for the perfect, no-fuss dessert.
We served up a batch of Palomas & Avaline wine…
