Hauste’s Guide to Thrifting in Sacramento
AKA where to find the perfect platter, funky glassware, and the one bar cart you didn’t know you needed.
I spent the day thrifting with Kristen @hauskris for a dinner party we hosted together, and we hit all of my go-to spots around Sacramento. At the end of the day, we looked at each other and said “HOT TAKE—Sacramento has better thrifting than San Francisco”.
From massive antique warehouses to tucked-away thrift stores with the best kitchen sections, the Sacramento area is full of gems if you know where to look. Whether you’re hunting for vintage serveware for your next dinner party or just want a Sunday funday, consider this your official thrift guide.
Antique Trove – Roseville
A warehouse wonderland of vintage chaos. Antique Trove is made up of dozens of vendor booths, which means no two corners are the same—and the thrill of the hunt is very real.
Hauste Hint: Grab one of their mini carts at the front!
Best for: Statement platters, quirky barware, and that one mid-century lamp you’ll think about forever.
Sutter Hospice Thrift – Roseville
Small, scrappy, and so underrated. This place isn’t picked over (yet), and everything is shockingly affordable. If you love the thrill of finding the perfect little bud vase for $2, this is your spot.
Best for: Kitchen bits, nostalgic glassware, and low-stakes thrifting wins.
Bliss Market – Roseville
Like Antique Trove’s cool cousin. Another vendor-style setup, with a little less true vintage—but when you find something good, it’s really good. You might walk through some random booths one minute and stumble across vintage silver sets the next.
Best for: Eclectic home finds, vintage purses, and serving pieces that feel straight out of a Nancy Meyers movie.
Goodwill – Arden
Hanna and I call this one our tried & true. It’s big, clean, and has a shockingly solid home section. If you’re looking to build your entertaining stash—think: serving bowls, dish sets, cookbooks—this one never lets us down.
Best for: Elevated basics, vases, and finding the one thing you weren’t looking for but obviously needed.
Goodwill – East Sac/Midtown
I come here when I want a “quick thrift hit.” Smaller but mighty, and worth popping into if you’re already nearby. We’ve found cute books, glassware, and styling pieces here.
Best for: Easy stop-ins, little kitchen pieces, and cute hostess gifts.
Goodwill Boutique – Midtown
Curated, cozy, and a little bougie (in the best way). This boutique-style Goodwill is tiny, but the selection is great—especially the shoes. And while the home section is small, it hits.
Best for: Chic basics, unexpected finds, and mugs that belong in your morning routine.
If you’re prepping for your next dinner party, redecorating a corner of your home, or just in your thrifting era—Sacramento is full of vintage magic. As we find new places, we will update this post!
